About Me

Timberstone Turnings: Welcome to our blog. The four of us: Erin (The "Director of Everything Else"), Ivy (The cute little Cavanese that loves "Her" Harley and is the occasional "shop dog"), Reggie (the lazy gray cat), and me... Doug Royer... collectively, we are Timberstone Turnings aka TT. Our love for gemstone inlaid items was discovered on our honeymoon to Taos NM in 2000 while visiting different art galleries. TT was born in 2006 when Erin was working for a local Mercedes Benz dealer and her GM suggested gemstone inlaid wine bottle stoppers as customer appreciation gifts. In 2009 we discovered ETSY while I was working for JP Morgan. From 2009 to April 2014, I was in essence working 2 full time jobs, one that I loved and the other that paid the bills. On April 4th, 2014 I chose to follow my passion and become a full time starving artist, and I've never been happier... or more broke. My hope is that this blog will allow a more personal and unfiltered interface with our customers as opposed to ETSY worldwide announcements. So, again welcome to TT, we look forward to talking!
